The coinage process involves melting raw metal, rolling the metal to coin thinness, punching out blanks, then pressing the designs into the coins. Machines automatically sort the coins 5,000 at a time, then drop them into bags destined for Federal Reserve Banks. Areas of the tour having pre-recorded commentary to help you understand more about how the coins are made. No free samples here!
